| Founded in 1911, ICS was awarded its Royal Charter in 1920 and a Supplemental Charter in 1984, enabling international membership. |
| ICS operates its own distance learning programme, TutorShip, and runs a variety of courses targeted
at everyone, from new
entrants to people already in the industry, who want to gain more specialised knowledge.
