| Once eligible, applicants may apply as follows:
|
| Complete and sign the application for membership form
online or obtain one from the local Branch. |
| Print, sign and submit it either to your local branch
or forward it direct to ICS head office in London.
|
| Your application form has to be endorsed
by your local branch and ICS vetting committees before being forwarded to the
Council for approval. |
| The following is an extract from the ICS Byelaws
outlining the conditions necessary to become a Member. Although the Byelaws
state 'shipbrokers', ICS membership is much wider and applies to any member of
commercial shipping with a connection to shipbroking. We have lawyers,
insurers, brokers, agents, managers, liner and port agents amongst our
membership.
